Agenda of Preparation Meeting for MC Workshop

Some time ago it was suggested to hold a MC workshop with a strong involvement of the CDF physics groups. The simulation meeting this week has been devoted as a preparation meeting for this upcoming MC workshop. Please find below the current agenda for Thursday. The general plan is to allow for a lot of discussion and have brief presentations (10-15 min max) to start the discussions.

Manfred Paulini: Brief overview of existing generators and plans for implementing new generators into CdfSim (pdf file)

Sebastian Carron: Plans on how to import stand-alone generator output in HEPEVT format into the CDF system and into production on the farm (ps file)

Joey Huston: Update on Les Houches Accords and survey of available PDF's and what CDF should be using (pdf file)

Discussion on what physics groups want to do in helping validate a new generator or an upgrade => take upgrade to Pythia 6.2 as example for discussion

Discussion on which generators do the physics groups want to see implemented, upgraded to new versions, ...
