cdfSim: Scientific Linux (SL304) vs RedHat (7.3)


Sample Generations (Rachid)

- Three processes (Z->ee, Z->mumu and ttbar) on each platform
- 50K events for each sample (total 300K)
- 25 sections in each sample (2K events per section/file)
- each section was generated with the same set of starting seeds


Sample Comparisons (Soon)

- basis on the same section (having the same set of starting seeds)
- run 6.1.2 Stntuple dev_243
- run run_validation_zee_s.C used for the offline ops physics validation
- run compare_stn_hist for histogram comparions


No guarantee for the random number sequence

- generated (HEPG) event
- simulated (OBSP/OBSV) event
- various detector simulations
- (now we are preparing simulation on the same HEPG events)
- (still need a criteria for quantitative decision)
