CDF Offline Computing Account Request Form

To request an account on CDF offline analysis computers, please fill out and submit this form.

Note: Before getting a CDF account, you must register as a CDF member. Please see the CDF newcomers page for more information on registering and on other CDF topics. Please contact Carol Picciolo (CDF trailer 166P) or Stephanie Schuler (CDF trailer 171I) to register.

If you do not yet have a Fermilab ID, or if you have an expired visitor's ID or an "XID" (external ID), then you must first obtain a Fermilab ID. Please fill out the ID request form and get it signed by a CDF Spokesperson or your institution's Executive Board representative. Then either have someone bring the form to the Users Office in Wilson Hall (first floor, W) or fax it to 630-840-3688.

If you have not read the Fermilab Policy on Computing, please do so now. (You probably did this when you signed the FERMILAB COMPUTER SECURITY POLICY section of the ID request form above.)

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS FORM IS FOR PEOPLE WORKING ON THE CDF COLLABORATION ONLY.
Your request will be verified by a member of the collaboration before an account is created for you. If you do not already have one, you will also be given a Kerberos principal along with your computer account.

If possible this should be the same as your FNAL username and the same on all UNIX platforms. Please note that UNIX usernames are limited to 8 characters. If your FNAL username is longer than 8 characters please use the first 8 characters of your FNAL user name.
