FACULTY POSITION, HADRONIC STRUCTURE AND NEUTRINO EXPERIMENTS, UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND The Department of Physics at the University of Maryland invites applications for a faculty position in hadronic structure or neutrino experiments. The successful candidate would complement our department's existing interests in the QCD structure of hadrons, and will be expected to play a leading role in any of several directions that would be new to our group, including but not limited to: fundamental symmetry tests, accelerator or reactor based neutrino physics, or measurements of the gluonic structure of hadrons. Applicants with experience in experimental nuclear or high-energy physics are encouraged to apply. It is anticipated that the appointment will be at the tenure-track assistant professor level, but higher-level tenured appointments can also be considered if appropriate. We would like to fill this position by August 2005. A Ph.D. is required and strong postdoctoral experience in the field is generally expected. Good teaching is a high priority of the Department. Therefore, strong teaching skills and potential are necessary. Applications, including a curriculum vita, a statement of research interests and plans and a minimum of four reference letters should be sent electronically and hard copy phys-chair@physics.umd.edu AND Hadronic Structure or Neutrino Experiments Office of the Chair, Department of Physics 1117 Physics Building University of Maryland College Park, MD, 20742-4111 The University of Maryland is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer.
