Oklahoma State U. - Tenure-track Assistant Professor, Experimental High Energy Physics The Department of Physics at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in experimental High Energy Physics to begin August 2005 or earlier. The University is committed to establishing a new program in this area and is looking for a dynamic individual to take the leadership role. There will be a second appointment at the Research Scientist level to begin simultaneously. Currently the Physics Department has an active High Energy theory program with two faculty, one postdoctoral Fellow and eight PhD students. [For details see http://www.physics.okstate.edu/hep]. This experimental HEP program is one of the major initiatives of the newly established Oklahoma Center for High Energy Physics Research with support from the State and from the US Department of Energy EPSCoR program through an Implementation Grant. The appointment will be at the tenure-track Assistant Professor level. The applicants must have a demonstrated record of excellence in research and are expected to contribute effectively to teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Applicants must have a PhD in Physics and at least two years of postdoctoral experience in experimental High Energy Physics. The OSU Physics Department has currently 23 faculty members and has strong research programs in a variety of experimental and theoretical fields including atomic and optical physics, condensed matter physics, high energy physics, biophysics, material physics and astrophysics.
