A command line calculator from the GNU software foundation is launched with
   > setup gnu
   > calc

Then one types (or mouses in) commands such as:
   45.7 + 18.2 + 9.6
To quit, type
   quit




A windows calculator is xcalc, launched with the command
   > xcalc &
This calculator is used as a hand calculator is used.
To quit, close the window.
