There are four editors in common use on cdfsga, listed
in order of frequency of use:


1) xemacs 20.4
   > setup xemacs
   > setenv DISPLAY xxxxxx.yyyy.zzz:0   (as usual)
   > xemacs &

2) nu/TPU (EVE) v4.1
   > setup tpu
   > tpu <filename>
   
   Note: For those terminals without a DO key, 
   CTRL/B provides the same function of getting
   to the TPU command line.

3) EDT+ v6.30
   > setup edt
   > edt <filename>

4) nedit v5.0
   > setup nedit
   > nedit <filename> &

   nedit documentation can the be found with the command:

   > more $NEDIT_DIR/doc/nedit.doc



It is suggested that xemacs be used instead of emacs,
as xemacs is more reliable.
