You can use the flpq command to query a printer queue:
flpq [option]
This is a Fermilab-specific command which queries printer queues.
flpq has many options and both system and user defaults.

The example below queries a specific printer which is served from the default printer server (fnprt.fnal.gov):
flpq -q b0trwqms_ps
