Stage0 Interactions with Databases
The following is known or assumed:
- Stage0 is a special class of online consumer which reads from the datastream
during a data taking run, determines calibration constants critical for
production (e.g. the COT time to distance relationship), and then writes them
to the calibration DB. In run 1 there was also a process called Post0
that ran immediately after the run finished, processed files that Stage0
produced during the run, and the production of the runs data in the farms did
not begin until Post0 completed (it is unclear whether there will be Post0
processing in run 2).
- Stage0 will need to access the calibration DB
"Used_Sets" for the online hardware and level 3 (possibly different). The output
of Stage0 will be needed to produce "Valid_Sets" of calibrations for the
production farms.
