Production and Splitting farms for CDF
A typical production farm at Fermilab consists of server nodes
which supply the disk and tape resources, and
worker nodes which supply the compute resources. The SGI
farm for CDF consists of one server node and 63 worker nodes.
The IBM farm for CDF consists of 3 server nodes and 34 worker nodes.
The capacity of the total system is approximately 1.3 million
events per week.
