The task force recommends the RAIDWeb.com IDE-SCSI RAID unit on 06Sep2001. This solution requires a SCSI controller.
NOTE: The solutions listed under the headings "Fibre Channel IDE RAID Units" and "Preconfigured RAID Servers" are NOT recommended! Also, due to problems with kernel drivers, internal solutions (e.g. 3ware PCI IDE RAID controllers) are NOT recommended and systems containing them (with the exception of test nodes) will be denied support by the CDF Task Force.
The Task Force recommends the Adaptec 29160 and 39160 SCSI-160 controllers.
Though the standard tape drive for CDF has changed, the Sony AIT-2 seems to be
