Direct Input within an Indirect Command File

It is sometimes convenient to use an Indirect Command File to direct the flow of an Application Program, whilst still prompting the Operator to supply information at run-time. This feature is allowed by use of the ``#" character. If this is detected within an Indirect Command File then it causes one line of Input to be taken from the direct input device (normally the keyboard), before returning to the Indirect Command Procedure for further input. If this character is the first character within a word, the remainder of the word will be ignored. If this character is detected in direct input mode it is treated as a null response (all spaces) but will be inserted into any LEARN File if appropriate.
