Definition Files

A Command Line style of operation requires that an Application Program have a ``Dictionary" of allowed responses, together with a set of subprograms to deal with each response. Thus the Verbs (and their corresponding Qualifiers), together with their associations into Menus must be defined. There are two different mechanisms by which this may be done - either through the use of a Subprogram interface or via a Definition File.
