CDF Electroweak Group : W Mass
Details of the published Run 0 and Run-1A analyses can be found
here .
This page has details of the results using the Run 1B data. These results
been published in
Phys. Rev. D64, 052001 (2001).
In February 1997 the first preliminary results from the 1B data using
the muon channel were made public. The mass value was : 80.430 +/- 0.155
GeV where the momentum scale was normalised to the measured J/Psi mass.
In the results presented here, improvements, principally in the
determination of the W pT and recoil model parameters, have been
incorporated. These results also now include the W -> e nu
analysis, which more than doubles the available statistics.
The CDF Run 1B Mass value is :
80.470 +/- 0.089 GeV
which when
combined with previously published CDF Mw measurements yields a
Run I CDF W mass
value of :
80.433 +/- 0.079 GeV
Details of the latest Mw world
average and Higgs constraints are
here
