Final lifetime fit results

$$\begin{eqnarray*} c\tau(B^-) & = & 495.6 \pm 8.6 \ ^{+10.0}_{-9.4}\ \mu\mbox{m}\\ c\tau(\bar{B}^0) & = & 441.5 \pm 10.9 \pm16.3 \ \mu\mbox{m},\\ \end{eqnarray*}$$

or

$$\begin{eqnarray*} \tau(B^-) & = & 1.653 \pm 0.029 \ ^{+0.033}_{-0.031}\ \mbox{ps}\\ \tau(\bar{B}^0) & = & 1.473 \pm 0.036 \pm 0.054\ \mbox{ps}.\\ \end{eqnarray*}$$

The ratio of the lifetimes:

$$\tau(B^-)/\tau(\bar{B}^0) = 1.123 \pm 0.040 \ ^{+0.041}_{-0.039},\\$$

where the first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.



For comparison, the world averages from 2004 Particle Data Group are:
