Updated Measurement of B0 Oscillations and Calibration of Flavor Tagging in Fully Reconstructed Decays

This is the web page summarizing the blessed results for measurement of the B0 mixing frequency and Opposite Side Tagger dilution scale factors in ten fully reconstructed (charged and neutral) B decays. This analysis has been performed as part of the ongoing CDF effort toward a Bs mixing measurement. These results were blessed in the B Physics Meeting of Thursday August 4, 2005.

The total Opposite Side Tagger effectiveness measured for this sample is

&epsilon D2 = 1.553 +/- 0.163 +/- 0.050 %.

The B0 mixing frequency is

&Delta md = 0.536 +/- 0.028 +/- 0.006 ps-1.

The weighted average of the five OST dilution scale factors is

SD = 0.973 +/- 0.050 +/- 0.014.

A complete description can be found in CDF note 7920: ps.

This analysis is an updated version of previous B0 oscillation measurements which used OST only (Winter '04-'05) and SST only (Summer '04). The main upgrades include:
