Mixing and Tagger Performance in Semileptonic B Decays in the Two-Track Trigger Data Sample

This is the web page summarizing the blessed results of the B0 mixing analysis and tagger performance in semileptonic B decays in the Two-Track Trigger Data Sample. Those have been produced for PANIC05 (October 24-28 2005) as part of the CDF ongoing effort in a Bs mixing analysis. They have been blessed in the B Physics Meeting on Thursday September, 15th 2005.

The overall opposite side tagging performance measured on this sample is

&epsilon D2 = 1.55 ± 0.08 ± 0.03 %.

and the B0 mixing frequency is

&Delta ms = 0.511 ± 0.020 ± 0.014 ps-1

Two similar analysis have already been performed using semileptonic B decays in the lepton + displaced track trigger. One analysis using a binned likelihood fitter and applying both OST and SST tagging algorithms(summer 04) and a second analysis using an unbinned likihood fitter applying OST only(winter 05). The new analysis includes several improvements which are described in detail in the public note below. Both former analysis have an overlap in events with the current analysis. Thus the results of those analysis can NOT be direclty combined.

A complete version of the new results can be found in the CDF note 7910.
