Charged Particle Production in Association with B0,B+,Bs0 Mesons
This page summarizes the analysis in which yields of K+/K-, π+/π- and p/anti-p
produced in association with B0, B+ and
Bs0 mesons are measured. The primary motivation
for this analysis is to compare the yields of kaons produced in association
with Bs0 mesons with those produced in association
with Bd0 mesons. This is of interest because it
has been hypothesized that Bs0-K charge
correlations may provide a powerful tag of the Bs0
flavor at production, and could be used to significantly improve limits on
the Bs0 oscillation frequency.
A complete description of the analysis is available in
CDF Public note 8137.

Fraction of charged particles that are kaons as a function of
pT(track) in a cone (ΔR<0.7) around B0, B+ and
B0s mesons. This figure demonstrates that the
probability of finding a kaon produced in association with a
B0s meson is greater than for finding one produced
in association with B0 or B+.
