Definition of two dimensional side bands

This Figure illustrates the two dimensional signal region and side band
definitions.
The signal region is indicated by the green square, the blue squares
are the regions where a true trigger (probe) D0 meson is combined
with a probe (trigger) D0 candidate from the combinatorial background.
The pair candidates from background-background combinations, are subtracted
twice. This is compensated by adding the pair candidates from the red regions.
