The following projections are made for the combined reach of CDF and D0 in the di-tau channel, under the following assumptions:
 | CDF and D0 have approximately the same sensitivity |
| The existing triggers at CDF are kept intact, D0 has triggers with similar efficiency |
| Use the same techniques as the current analysis |
| Same systematic uncertainties as in the current analysis |
| 30% efficiency gain from additional tau detection modes (both taus decay leptonically, and both taus decay hadronically) |
The last three assumptions are on the conservative side: Improvements in signal/background separation are in progress; the additional tau decay modes give us more than 30% gain; systematics will improve with larger samples.
Still, these are only projections. Keep that in mind!
