Abstract
We present a measurement of the diffractive structure function of the antiproton extracted from dijet events produced in proton-antiproton collisions at 1800 GeV at the Fermilab Tevatron. Diffractive events are identified by the presence of a leading antiproton detected in a forward Roman Pot spectrometer. The diffractive structure function is derived from the non-diffractive and the ratio of the diffractive to non-diffractive cross sections. Results are presented for antiproton fractional momentum loss Xi in the region 0.035 < Xi < 0.095, 4-momentum transfer squared |t|<1 GeV2, and jet transverse energy 7 < ET(jet) < 25 GeV.
