Inclusive production cross section of prompt photons in the plug region
The first measurement for prompt photon production
in the plug region from the 1988-1989 run.
The inclusive production cross section for prompt photons
with 27 < Et < 40 GeV in 1.32 < |eta| < 2.22 is
1451 +/- 85 (stat) +/- 259 (syst) pb.
The measurement is in good agreement with NLO QCD predictions calculated
using CTEQ3M, MRS(G), and GRV 94 parton distribution functions.
The cross section with respect to eta
and the photon fraction are also studied.
