The following plots show the efficiency to tag jets in top quark Monte Carlo samples which have been matched to b quarks. The efficiency is obtained by multiplying the tag rate for such jets in the Monte Carlo by our data/MC scale factor (0.82±0.06). The band represents the systematic error on the data/MC scale factor.
The next pair of plots shows the mistag rate for jets resulting from light quark fragmentation.
CDF has also recently developed a loose version of SecVtx, which has higher efficiency but also a higher mistag rate. This following pair of plots shows the loose tagger efficiency compared to that of the standard SecVtx tagger.
