CDF Combined Top Mass for Winter 2006
The Top Mass Working Group
Abstract:
We summarize the CDF measurements of the top quark mass, Mt, based on
data sets including as much as 750 pb-1 of data. We combine the most
recent preliminary Run II results with the published Run I results to
obtain, Mt = 172.0 +/- 1.6 (stat) +/- 2.2 (syst) GeV/c2, which
corresponds to a total uncertainty of 2.7 GeV/c2. This is more precise
than the total uncertainty on the present (Summer-2005) world average.
