The Latest from MiniBooNE: The Mini Booster Neutrino Experiment (MiniBooNE) at Fermilab is searching for the neutrino oscillations indicated by the LSND experiment. Confirmation of this mode of oscillation would indicate a break from the Standard Model of particle physics. Such new physics could take the form of heretofore unseen sterile neutrinos or exotic symmetry breaking that would dramatically change the landscape of particle physics. MiniBooNE finished data-taking in neutrino mode in 2005 and is now operating with an anti-neutrino beam. Analysis of the neutrino data is in progress with results expected soon.
