We present a tracking and alignment package for the CDF II silicon detector. This package is based on a Kalman fitter and provides a pre-tracking primary vertex finder, an Ouside-In tracking algorithm, a Silicon Standalone algorithm, the Kalman fitter a geometry describtion of the material in the silicon and a global alignment fitter. In this note the Kalman fitter and the tracking algorithms will be described and all necessary formulas will be deriven. We will also present a validation of the fitter and the pattern recognition strategies on MC and on data.
