========================================== Minutes of Tracking Meeting, July 25, 2007 ========================================== taken by U. Husemann Aseet Mukherjee: Summary of Changes to COT Tracking =================================================== - Bugfix in online calibration o Problem: TDC->cell mapping o Fix: Do new t0, but need new alignment as well - General code cleanup, uniform treatment of cell tilt, drift time limit - Drift times are now double precision - Rewrite of segment finding o correct aspect angle correction o compatible with BackwardMods o Different modes for segment finding, use compromise between speed and performance - HL tracking o remove bias in charge asymmetry o consistent use of beam position - Stereo tracking: code completely rewritten o old code: would stop at the first vertex with at least one hit o new: much better stereo hit finding efficiency - Track merging: o old: merging using hit overlap and track parameter o new: redefinition of overlap fraction, sort list of tracks - SH tracking: histograms using segment o brand new: needs tuning o not used by default: SL+HL do very well, maybe for higher luminosities - dE/dx correction: o no dE/dx correction in all of Gen6: bug fixed o strong track density variation o consequence: electron tagging, dE/dx wrong for high lumi o Aseet will add dE/dx information into separate object o Tom Phillips & Ulrich will spread the information to the offline group Matt Herndon: Int10 Validation ============================== - Check forward silicon efficiency: unchanged w.r.t int 9 (as expected) - Will check impact of hit resolution change: more fakes? Koji Sato: Int10 Validation for COT =================================== - See more stereo hits than before, esp. SL1 and SL3, expected (Aseet) - No additional tails in delta z0 between legs of Z->mumu seen Antonio/Ben/Ulrich: Int10 Validation ==================================== - Basic checks on Z->mumu/ee MC and high-pt lepton data - All distributions checked look reasonable - Visible reduction of number of tracks with zero Si hits - To do: comparison to standard production output
