NEWS:
Steve said that he is concerned about the slipping of data taking efficiency
during the recent shifts. Since we have new batches of shift crews, we need
to watch more carefully. Mark is installing Visual C++(V6) into
MUON3. We started monintoring the Motor Generators which generate 400Hz AC
powers. These generators have large flywheels so they produce less glitches.
ICICLE:
Margherita said the recent problem with ICICLE have to do with some changes
made in the configuration of Smart Socket. She promised to look into it.
The Oracle database access is much faster now. This is due to recent work on
subset structure effort of Nelly and Margherita.
SILICONII:
Andy said the SVX power supplies produce fake alarms too often. This is a
know problem. The most significant bit is always stuck and it's masked off.
The second bit is also erroneous sometimes. Marcin asked Andy to relax limits
to avoid these problems.
DOCUMENTATION:
John said it's time to update documentation. We urge the iFix experts to
update instructions to shift crews once every quarter.
