Monitoring Controls System meeting on April 29, 2003

Attendance:
Steve Hahn, Andy Hocker, Irina Shreyber, Marcin Wolter, John Yoh, JC Yun

NEWS:
Beam is still not doing well. Mostly due to small problems keep popping up.

SYSTEM:
Steve summarized the recent MCS activities in his transparancy:

  • Steve's transparancy.
  • We need to move TGD files into an appropriate subdirectory. Right now, they are all over in the top directory. This means experts should modify codes to accomodate the change. Since this can cause serious problems, we need to test it out. Andy voluteered the SVXIICON to be a guinea pig for this purpose.

    PISABOX:
Irina said somehow a directory in Pisabox was moved to another location mysteriously. Our speculation is that when there is little disk space available, system does it automatically. During the upgrade a lot of files were duplicated and caused serious disk space problems. These files should be cleaned up.

    SVXIICON:
Andy said he is watching SVXIICON more carefully since the pc crashed recently for the first time.

    DOCUMENTATION:
John urges all the experts to change update dates after any changes made on their instructions.
