Minutes of Monitoring Controls System meeting on February 7, 2005

News:

Beam was generally bad during the last two weeks. It was plagued by tuning and orbit problems etc. We are planning to upgrade iFix to version 3.5 during the shutdown, which starts on February 27 for 13 weeks. There will be 3 scheduled shutdowns during the shutdown. Please see details in Ricks slides.

Please look into the Rick Tesarek's slides for more details of the shutdown plan for CDF. Ben Whitehouse is here until end of this month. Steve is trying to arrange Voltman upgrade work during his stay.

John printed out a list of MCS related documentions under the responsible persons names.

CDFTEMP:

There had been some cooling problems due to chilled water system overload. Steve said this was due to the fact the more chilled water was diverted to the SVX system since last summer. This reduced cooling power for other systems like PLUGTEMP and overheated the eletronics for the plug temperature measurement. This problem was fixed by going back to the old scheme.
