SVX:
Andy reported that there was an incident on Saturday when voltage read back
of a ladder of SVX was zero - the actual voltage was OK. This caused the
software trigger inhibit to fire. Since the state of the system is OK, the
SVX button was still green and produced no audible alarms.
On top of it, the shift crews could not find any information about the
detailed status of the SVX. These information used to be on the old
trigger inhibit picture which were not on display since a few months ago
after trigger inhibit update.
Andy was wondering how other subsystem handle this kind of situation where status of certain channels are different from that of the majority of channels. If you remember how you handle in your system, please send an e-mail to Andy so he could use it as an example. On Tuesday morning Steve produced a stripped down version of the trigger inhibit page to display only the SVX part.
ICICLE:
Margherita said she had installed a new version of OTL(Oracle Template
Library) which can handle errors better. The system with the old version'
used to crash when server was not running.
She also made a request to upgrade the PC to solve the so called 'Larry's Time' problem. When the problem occurs, the remote time get confused with the local time.
