NEWS:
Shutdown will end on Friday as planned. Two fake flammable gas alarms
caused power shutdown in the collision hall. A faulty sensor is the culprit.
CAEN is working on making new version of HV power supply interface which
can be hooked up to PCI card. The old version needs ISA card which is
obsolete for new PC's.
MUON:
The virus scan on Muon3 died a few weeks ago. This was caused by the system
somehow. The virus scan is back and running.
SYSTEM:
Aseet Mukherjee requested for access to event number from COT2. Since we
do not have the information in iFIX database a few ideas are floating around
for this.
1) Write event number from Solenoid2, where smart socket is installed, to
Vnode database.
2) Install smart socket in COT2.
3) Run control provide event number when the trigger inhibit occurs. This
will allow him to look for the events when the high voltage trip occured.
