Monitoring Controls System meeting on June 24, 2003

Attendance:
Steve Hahn, Dan Ryan, Yeongdae Shon, Margherita Vittone, John Yoh, JC Yun

NEWS:
Steve said shots are more routine these days. A store with 3.9**31 was the best in a month. There are still problems with Pbar loss. Particularly, the lifetime at 150GeV is quite poor. Recently, it got a little better. There was an 4 hour access to fix COT low voltage problems. However, this turned out to be a readout problem.
Since we have 7 new pc's, we need to prioritize demands. The two best candidates are CLC(PII 330 MHz) and PISABOX(PII 450MHz).
Oleg is coming back on July 1st. He will work on Trigger Inhibit stuffs for Muon Scintillators.

DOCUMENTATION:
John said he sent e-mails to experts to encourage them to update documentations and instructions. He urged experts to update the date in documents after reviewing them even if there is no change made.

MUON3:
Yeongdae said he needs some down time to work on the feedback system at MUON3.

ICICLE:
The aforementioned problem with Margherita's PC is now solved. The conflicts between softwares were removed by renaming some of her include files. She needs some down time to work on the Gamma supply monitoring and the Generator monitoring. She said the DB time stamp problem still exist. The ICICLE collects data every ten minutes. However the browser shows the data points every 6-7 minutes. We need to fix this problem soon.

PSM:
Dan thinks there is something wrong in between the power supplies and the BnB boxes, which attaches to the monitor taps on the power supplies. Somehow voltage measurements are wrong. He also mentioned that he needs to work on PSM documentation to make it more user friendly which was requested by Kaori and Andy. Shift crews need easy access to the information of relationship between power supplies and detectors. Steve suggested the tool tip for this.
