NEWS:
Steve said that he was requested to estimate the iFix upgrade costs for Run
2b. There are a few known items for this.
1) Redo SVX interlock system.
2) Upgrade APAX system.
3) Also it's possible that we could purchase new pc's for each system when
we switch to windows 2000 or X.
SYSTEM:
We are planning to upgrade the iFIX software during
the October shutdown. We will
go for version 2.6. A few major features for the version 2.6 are:
1) WDMACS folder will disappear. - Jim Loskot will start working on
picture path changes etc. soon. He will test out all the pictures at
his pc before the October shutdonwn.
2) New programable verison of iFIX keys.
CCU:
Fiodar said that CSX system is turned off since one PISABOX is not responding.
Power cycling works only 2 hours. Needs an excess to fix the problem.
He said Rob Roser and Jim Loskot installed a software power switch to turn
on and off remotely.
ICICLE:
Margherita said that all the trigger inhibit tags are in Oracle database now.
Also work on PlugHV tags are almost complete. The Plug group wants to have a
standby state implemented in CDFHVSummary page. This is due to the recent
worry about PMT gain drop.
PSM:
Macin was asked to look for an easier way to associate monitoring names to
detector components.
SVX:
Andy requested that we set the SVX heartbeat checking time interval back to
3 minutes. Some time ago heartbeat checking interval was
increased to 5 minutes to reduce suprious heartbeat alarm. Recently JC
fixed a bug in the code.
