Minutes of Monitoring Controls System meeting on November 15, 2005

News:

We had another store with a record instantaneous luminosity (1.79*10**32) during the week. This time trigger table was quite reliable.

Vnode1:

Once in a while Vnode1 was losing connections to the picture Server. The ace on duty reported that the error message says it could not find pictures files. Mapping the network driver (S disk) and rebooting the computer solved the problem.

Solenoid1:

Margherita was informed by an ace for an Icicle problem during the week. The initialization part got stuck somehow. It was due to a failed network connection. She rebooted the computer and it worked. She is thinking about rewriting the script to improve initialization part of Icicle program.

WHA:

Steve said a few channels of WHA ran off 5% recently and the problem disappeared by itself after several hours. He thought 60Hz power could be one of the possible culprits.

MUON3:

Yeongdae could not find any down time to work on MUON3 upgrade during the last two weeks. He requested to the Operations Managers to page him whenever the HVMON is free for more than 3 hours. He said he will on site most of the time during the weekdays except Monday.
