Monitoring Controls System meeting on November 16, 2004

Attendance:
Mary Convery, Steve Hahn, Andy Hocker, Margherita Vittone, John Yoh, JC Yun

NEWS:
The shutdown schedule is still holding. According to the current schedule colliding beam is expected on December 7. We are testing COT high voltage with CO2 gas.

TOF:
Steve said the TOF is running fine since the upgrade. Only problem we had was a hardware failure of CAEN527.

PSM:
Ben Whitehouse made the VOLTMAN running ok with David Dargenhardt's help - in particular on the Visual Basic upgrade to .NET version. Ben went back to Tufts. We need him for the PSM operation soon. Steve also mentioned that the database of the Larry's web browser should be moved from the local disk to the main web server someday.

CLC:
Mary said she made display plots for the CPR using the Labview instead of going with iFix plots. Now she needs to create tags in the database. She can look into the old tags in the MUON3 database as an example.

COT:
Mark and Aseet upgraded the COT2. It went well.

SVXIICON:
Andy said they got all the hardwares needed for the upgrade. However he is having problems with the EDA software on the Windows XP. Steve suggested the Intellution web page for inquiries. Also he said Andy should look into the Vnode2 since it is running EDA program on the Windows XP.

Smart Alec:
Steve mentioned that Jim Loskot is looking into the 'E12' error problems of Smart Alec display panel. Previously we thought the error has to do with too long signal cables but it turned out to be a software problem.

ICICLE:
Steve said Nelly is going to install the Oracle Client into the CDFTEMP and the Voltman.
