Minutes of Monitoring Controls System meeting on November 1, 2005

News:

Another record luminosity achieved. The record instantaneous luminosity is around 170*10**30. However, L2 and Event Builder does not work very well over 120*10**30. It is now official that the start day for the shutdown is March 1.

ICICLE:

Steve said that during virus scan the network connection of Solenoid 2 was dropping out repeatedly every an hour or so. Since Jim and Mark installed the new network card it is quite reliable.

MUON3:

Yeongdae said he found a bug in his program which prevent the program from initializing correctly. He fixed the bug but did not have enough time to restart the computer at the time. He said he will try it again as soon as he has a chance.

Central Cal:

Irina said there is a WHA channel out of range and needs to be fixed. The fix requires pulling the plug out.
