Monitoring Controls System meeting on October 29, 2002

NEWS:
The long shut down is pushed back and more likely it would happen during the summer.

Steve reported on the data base meeting(Oct 23.). Please look into his transparancies for this.

  • iFIX Upgrade:

  • Jim Loskot said he did not encounter any problems in converting iFix picutures.

  • Mark said he is studying to see if we can have a mixed state of NT and Windows 2000 in our system. Security people are pushing hard for Windows 2000.

  • Andy presented his study on EDA and TIA with the PC at SiDet. Please look into his transparancies.

  • MUON:
    Yeongdae said he found some of the MUON iFix pictures can be closed without being properly terminated. He will find a way to cure this problem. One possibility is to remove the small 'X' buttons on pictures.

    PLUGHV:
    Margherita said she and Luciana are still working on the PLUGHV control buttons. It's not working yet. Somehow it can not talk to the switch box.

    PSM:
    Marcin said Roberto is working on monitoring fan rotating speed. This will be installed in the first and second floors of B0 in near future. Eventually he will work on the fans in the collision hall.
