Monitoring Controls System meeting on September 21, 2004

NEWS:
Please look into Steve's transparancies for upgrade status and recent iFix operations.

  • Steve's transparancy.

    • MUON3:
    Yeongdae and Mary need PCI cards. Steve will provide them one each. He said it cost about $100 per card.

    SVX:
    Andy said the video card is dying slowly. PC Upgrade will solve this problem.

    CLC:
    Mary said the CPR control is being moved from MUON3 to CLC. Since the CPR is now scintillator counter - used to be wire chambers, it's natural to move to the CLC computer where all the detectors are made of scintillators.

    PSM:
    Dan Ryan said he can not come back to work on PSM upgrade efforts - contrary to his earlier commitment. Michael Greene suppose to take over Dan's work but he quit his job at Tufts. Dan said there are three graduate students available for the upgrade and operations.
