The demo is a collaboration of CDF scientists and the personnel PCFARMS Project of the FNAL Conputing Division's Online Systems Development Department.
Prepared DST segments will be read from the Scanner CPU memories, through the ATM switch, rebuilt in the Level-3 converter nodes, analyzed in compute nodes, and displayed in real-time.
In addition to the hardware shown above, this system will feature CDF-specific code running in the Scanner-Manager and all Level-3 nodes. The code running in this demonstration, with the exception of the filtering algorithm, will evolved adiabatically over the next years to become the final CDF Event-Builder and Level-3 code.
