things to know about the AM++

How to insert it

If you don't do it the right way you may stripp off capacitors from the bottom. Basically you HAVE to keep the board pushed a little bit to the right in order to keep it away from the front-panel of its left board that could strip off parts. Get trained on how to insert/remove AM++'s!!!

What to check before putting it in

1) Check the 4jumpers, in a single block, located near the bottom right corner of the board. They set the board number 0 or 1. You should choose 0 or 1 depending on which board you are replaceing.
2) Check that all 3 main board fuses are installed. They are located near the P0 connector, i.e. the smallest of the 4 connectors on going to the backplane. If you have time also check whether they are all good.
3) When you power on the board check the front panel LEDs.
All 3 power LED's should be on: 5V, LAMB PWR, 3.3V.
One of the two bottom LED's should be on. It is telling you the board number.
