Frontend/Trigger/DAQ Upgrade Workshop (July 13-14) ================================================== July 1, 1995 ** It will be stated at the beginning of workshop that - design parameters: 132nsec, 5*10**32 - Trigger plans have to include tracking from CTC replacement (therefore WG5 added) ** WG5 is proposed to be added. It will NOT cover decisions on replacement options. This is purely a "discussion" session to do some of the "market searches (getting the ideas)" of frontend electronics and track processor for the CTC replacement "candidates". ** What we want at the end of workshop (one of the following for each agenda) - Decisions made, short notes summarizing them (compile relevant documents) - Task list made with names and schedules attached - Request list made (to the CDF collaboration or managements) <<< ALL SHOULD BE IN WRITING >>> =========================================================================== DRAFT AGENDA ------------ ** Time Table and meeting rooms are listed in CDF$ROOT4:[UPGRADE.WORKSHOP]WORKSHOP.PS *** 7/13 9:00 - 11:00 general session Introduction 10 min Myron Campbell Goal of WG1 25 min Bill Foster Goal of WG3 25 min Michael Schmidt Goal of WG2 25 min Jim Patrick Computing Environment 25 min Liz Kennedy (&Offline/Data base) 11:00 - 4:00 individual working groups meet 4:00 - 6:00 merged sessions (see WORKSHOP.PS for details) 7/14 9:00 - 11:00 summary from Thursday Plans on DAQ network 20 min Paris Sphicas Summary from WG2 20 min Summary from WG3 20 min Summary from WG5 20 min Summary from WG1 20 min 11:00 - 3:00 working groups meet 3:00 - 4:00 WG4 session + discussion 4:00 - 4:40 Reports from working groups & Wrap-up 4:40 - 5:20 Break for the "Vision" talk ========================================================================= WORKING GROUPS & CHARGES ------------------------ WG1 Frontend Electronics coordinators: Foster, Lindgren, Barsotti, Chapman, Schlabach (overall, calorimeter, SVX, trkTDC, muon) - Compile electronics specifications - Discussion on data format - Discussion plan for calibration - Scenario for calibration data base handling, size ... - Summary of signals to trigger systems - Compile list of tests & goals (fall '95, testbeam, vertical slice) WG2 (a) Infrastructure (Protocols...)
