The ISL is being installed inside the COT in CDF's assembly hall. The metal frame was part of the "cage" used for transport and installation. The nominal radial clearance was 8 cm, which was reduced to around 6.5 cm as the mounting brackets at each end passed through. We finished at around 22:00 on 16-Jan-2001.
ISL with the outer screen installed in Lab-C at Fermilab's Silicon Detector Facility. The HDI cables emerge from each end. The portcard rings are not yet installed. The aluminimum stripes electrically connect adjacent panels of the outer screen - they are 1 X 0.001 in^2 aluminum tape with conductive adhesive. The white tube running near the top is one of four lines which deliver nitrogen to the ISL volume. Some of the ruby survey spheres are also visible. There's a meter stick at the bottom for scale.
