Went over last meetings' action items. All immedate one were actually done. A couple ongoing. Wow! - YoungKee showed a first look at Z->bbbar di-jet mass - Richard told us about some new ideas to test new hardware with current XFT design. - Event mixing is not done yet. Some sticky technical issues remain. We need to be able to do: Signal Mbs data data mc mc mc mc Marco, Richard, Brian with help from Matt are trying to overcome this. - JDL showed us the status of assembling a RunIIb trigger table. He went over the rates, and tried to convey the reliability associated with various predictions. Lots of progress. He promised to send the latest table to all of us so we can study it. In the meantime he'll make a condensed version, based on this table, combining lines of similar functionality (e.g. various dileptons). Also would be good to have a short list of enumerated comments that can be referenced in the various cells of the table. - Y2K said that she and Mel will try to put together the words to go with the above (i.e. physics reasons, qualifiers for extrapolations). - Mario showed us an update on his studies in cdf 5889. He added a point separating min-bias from zero bias. Looks as expected. He's working on adding a current MBR mc point. Will allow us to know how far off our MC event mixing are. - Chris promised (via AY) to supply the event sizes in L3 (for MBS, jet20, and W->e). Also he promised a paragraph containing a killer argument why we need this upgrade. - Avi showed work done by Chris Hays on trying to understand COT behaviour at higher luminosities. Showed plots of number of obscured hits for 0, 5, 10 MBS in ttbar events. Made everybody worried. Promised to show breakdown as a function of SL. Agreed to meet Monday, July 22nd 15:00. Thanx, Avi.
