We agreed to meet again Monday, 1500, trailer 171. - COT occupancies look in good shape (thanx to a lot of work by Mario). One. outstanding issue is the apparent contradiction in the growth term of the fit between Arnd (using COTD size) to Mario (using COTD hit content). Being investigated. We agreed to take 430 kB for now. - We got the TDC summary by Arnd. Main comment was to use the rate we get from the trigger table (no double counting of safety margins). So, we'll use 700Hz steady state, and 1KHz peak. Arnd also promised to give a us a more pedestrian version that summarizes the summary... We want him to write what he told us in the meeting. - L3/event builder. Arnd promised to collect the numbers of projected event sizes, current system maximum rate, possible solutions. - XFT studies on going. Richard told us about cross-checks done to studies documented in their note. Seems like its rather clear that the current XFT will die (huge fake rates, bad Pt, phi resolutions). What's still needed is to show that with the extra info (brought in as slope) they can do it. We talked about it later and he has some good ideas to try. We'll hear about how they work Monday. - SVT fake rates are our biggest concern. Marco showed us 0, 2 and 5 mbs cases. Do not understand the huge increase in non-Gaussian tails. One suspicion is that we mix 5 times the noise in the Si. Will try to prevent that by a cut on hit charge. Luciano is studying tracks that wind up on those tails. - I showed an updated COT hit occupancy plots (after a bug was found). It looks a lot less scary, but I'd like to make sure. Will report Monday. Pati showed a lot of work she's been doing on both Si detector performance (i.e. fraction of shared hits), as well as tracking performance (using current algorithms on ttbar with many mbs events). She has b tagging studies in the pipeline too. - Trigger rate document discussed. A comment from Kevin regarding thresholds of various high Et objects (ele, muon, missing Et). Need a sentence to justify. We all liked this document. - Other documentation is coming. Y2K has started to pull together the other parts. Will do it as a Q&A or so.
