                                   ABSTRACT

     
  We present a summary of calculations of total noise generated by the
  SVX II sensor/preamplifier system.  The calculations are performed using
  electrical models of both the silicon microstrip sensor and the SVX2/3 chip
  preamplifier with a SPICE electrical simulator.
