The noise performance of BeO prototype hybrids for the SVXII detector 
is examined. Most measurements were carried out using SVX2b readout chips.
The noise observed in various stages of ladder assembly is consistent with 
expectations from circuit simulation results. No increase in noise is
observed when a hybrid is glued directly to the surface of a sensor.
