Four Layer 0 mechanical grade prototype ladders were constructed in order to understand 
their performance under load, and in order to compare to theoretical values.  The ladders 
were constructed using the same adhesives as is expected in the final ladder construction.  
They were mounted in a test setup which enabled end forces to be applied to the ladders, 
while measuring both their end and center deflections.  This information is then used to 
determine how the ladders will react during power-up of the SVX II barrel and it has 
implications for the design of the outer screen of the barrel.
