Abstract:

In this note we specify the construction and alignment tolerances for the SVXII detector. We set the tolerances such that the intrisic silicon resolution, not deviations in construction from the nominal geometry or misalignment, will dominate the uncertainty in the SVXII hit position. Constraints are calculated for the two uses of SVXII data, the Silicon Vertex Tracker (SVT) and offline track reconstruction. We also set constraints on ladder bow. Out construction constraints are similar to those found using other equally valid assumptions. They are also attainable given the experience of constructing both the SVX and SVX' detectors.
