FIB: * 20 assembled cables of the *unshielded* version (twisted pairs) --- due 3/3/2000 from Samtec (females on both sides). * I have 50 of the surface-mount male connectors which go on the PCP. * I haven't ordered production quantities, but can get them within a week or two from when we place the order. Bias: * Have a 100' spool of 28 AWG PVC cable in handd for ---- prototyping and tests * Expect 6 spools of TPE-jacketed cable on 3/10/2000 (production quantities) * Have 50 of the female cable-mount connectors in hand. * I haven't ordered production quantities, but can get them within a week or two from when we place the order. * I have 50 of surface-mount male connectors which go on the PCP. * I have made a prototype of the bias cable, and it looks good. Low Voltage: ------------ Connectors: I have enough for ~10 cable assemblies. Production ---------- quantities are in Purchasing now. 4-6 wk lead time so, we might not have more than 10 of these for a while. Cables: We have ordered discrete wires (20,22,24, and 26 AWG), ------- and also we're buying some flat cable with similar gauge. I'm in favor of the flat cable solution, but we can try both. Also, we are investigating the possibility of having thinner wires in the region of the SVXII barrels, and then transitioning to a thicker wire at ~6" beyond the end of the barrels. Those connectors are included in the PO for the LV connectors. I will post this email on the pigtail web page at: http://www-cdf.fnal.gov/upgrades/svxii/barrel_testing/pigtail_description.html Steve
